First of all, a little correction: It was Little John, not the rooster, who used the voice of Phil Harris. Robin Hood (1973) also used a lot of animation straight from The Jungle Book (1967) as well. For example, Lady Kluck does the same exact dance moves as King Louie (with Little John/Baloo).
So, anyway, welcome to episode fifteen! Boldly hanging around on the side of the road, without any preset topics of discussion! Like champs!
Welcome, esteemed listeners! We recorded ourselves again. This time we had a special guest! Mr. Garrison joins us this time, to talk about side-of-the-road stuff!
(this time we checked to make sure we were using the right audio input!)
Hey, esteemed listeners! Episode 13 is finally up! This one took me a couple of days to upload. Sometimes I listen to the whole episode before I upload it, sometimes I don't.
We hope you enjoy this episode. Email us with questions or comments or selfies. :)
Welcome, listeners! You brighten our day! Recording our little podcast brightens our day, too! Take a break from negative influences, and join us on our side of the road again. This episode, we discuss a couple of good movies; we reminisce about comic books; we talk about making technology say naughty words; we get a little serious talking about anxiety and depression; and we listen to my 80-something-year-old grandma goofing off on a 9-foot grand piano.
It's our All Hallows Eve episode!, where we sit out on the porch in the cool evening air and talk about stuff. We give candy to kids, tell stories, play spooky recordings, and take off our socks and shoes! Wait... no, we leave our socks and shoes on for this one.
Yes, I know, Gwen is a Welsh name, not Germanic. :D
Episode 9 is up! Here's what we say you should do: Recommit to running, take a stray cat to the pound, switch to Ting, and take it easy on the high heels, and then...
Hey, Episode 8 is up! Back to the other mic, for a slightly better sound. :)
Sorry, we forgot to take a picture of John's garden... so... no picture here. :( Maybe next time.
I just want to apologize for the audio (as represented by the hash marks above). I thought I brought a better mic to the studio. After I took the recording home, I discovered that the mic we tried wasn't any better. In fact, it was worse. It made all the louder sounds sound crappy. So... it goes without saying that we're not gonna use that mic again. Ever.
This episode, we talk about some dreams. And some other stuff. Enjoy! (at least try to enjoy it, despite the mic)
'Sup, folks! Here we are again, with another episode! Welcome to our side of the road!
This time we talk about bathroom repairs, Seven Devils, and songs that get you in the feels. Is there one song that gets dust in your eye? Let us know in the comments, or email us.
We're going to be recording for some home-made music clips (for the beginning and end of the episodes). This one gives you just a little taste!
Sometimes things happen. Shower faucets leak, causing shower floors and stalls to need to be replaced. Homework is due. Employer wants you to show up for work if they're gonna pay you. Gear shifters decide to not move out of "Park". You know, regular stuff.
Don't worry!
Episode 5 is all recorded. I just need to finish cleaning up the audio a little, and then I'll upload it. Until then, head over to Librivox and subscribe to a nice public-domain audio book. I recorded some stuff over there. They have some gems. :)
This is episode 4 for reals, yo! Or is it "fo reals"? Anyway. Thanks for your patience, and thanks for listening! Episode 4 of our Side of the Road Podcast is up! Daniel stayed up late to make sure it was de-essed, volume-adjusted, noise-reduced, uploaded, and was free of saturated fats!
Folks, the two-week deadline we decided upon has caught me by surprise again. Sorry. The good news is there's an episode already recorded, sitting on my computer at home. It just won't be until Friday or Saturday before I finish cleaning the audio and upload it. Wish me luck! God speed. Yes, add cheese for fifteen cents more.
It's that time again, kids, episode number three! Listen to us say some words and make sounds with our mouth holes. Thank you for listening, be sure to tell your acquaintances that you listen to our podcast, maybe they'll get you some professional help!
Please be aware that I deleted the previous post, and re-posted it with a corrected title. I confused this episode with another episode when I was typing the title. My bad. It won't happen again. Please don't make me go get the paddle.
Yay for us!, I remembered to put up episode 2! Daniel actually listened to the whole episode before uploading it this time, to adjust volume on the parts that were too loud or too quiet. We wanted to get this episode out on a Friday, but it's taking forever to upload, so it might not be available until early Saturday. We'll see.
So, this is episode 1 of our podcast. Chronologically speaking, this is the first episode we recorded, so that's why episode 0 has a later date in the audio file name. But, we didn't do much of an intro, so... that's why there's an episode 0.
